  This little "hole in the wall" spot is home to a tasty menu, friendly service, and a crowd of mostly local regulars. We just happened to be in the area and wanted some breakfast so we checked it out online and stopped by. I highly recommend the Blueberry Pancakes. Their name, Johnny Cakes, is also a cornmeal pancake product they came up with that we didn't try, but appears to be popular. There were only two tables when we arrived, so the service was great, but as the place filled up we had a harder time getting refills and getting our check to pay out. By the time we were ready to leave, the place was pretty full with people that apparently not only knew each other, but knew the staff as well. I would have given them a better grade, but the service hiccups at the end, and the fact that they only take cash, which is only posted inside the shop and on their menus, versus being prevalent online or outside the shop, is inconvenient. They do have an ATM, which charges you a fee to use. In this day and age, there are way too many options to allow small businesses to take credit and debit cards without paying huge processing fees (Square, Wave, etc.). Even small vendors at the local farmer's market take credit/debit cards through apps on their phones! In a time period of Apple Pay and other services, holding wads of cash on your person is a thing of the past.

  Amazing food. Service is great, but I don’t recommend. My friends got scammed here. Their bill was supposed to come out to $93 but it was $155.69. And this isn’t the first time either. Once they got 2 milkshakes and got charged for 6. It doesn’t help that they’re kids, so the employees might just be taking advantage. Not to mention they didn’t let them split the bill.

  Very pleasant diner. We stopped in for breakfast and were immediately greeted by a cheerful waitress who offered us coffee. Didn’t take long for either the orders to be taken or for the food to come. The plates were full of food and well worth the price. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and the food great. Would definitely go again.

  Our go to local dinner. If you can, their Johnny Cakes are the best! Their homemade pho and ramen soups are tasty as well.
